John 17: The Mystery of Perfect Unity

Join me as I read through and reflect on the Gospel of John.

The Son has made the Father known so that we may have eternal life in Him. Jesus is the only way to eternal life. It is only through Him that we may know the Father, the one true God, maker of heaven and earth.

It was and is the Father’s pleasure to glorify His Son by giving life through Him. The Son, in turn, glorifies the Father by drawing all His creations back to Him. Such is the marvelous mystery of perfect unity.

Such a beautiful image is worth endlessly pondering. His words make this possible by sanctifying us — by making us more and more like Him.

Lord, your words are powerful. They point to true life: the Son, the Source of all. Bring about unity, Lord, as we all look to you and come to know you more and more for all eternity. Protect us from the evil one who divides and destroys, and instead, unify us by the Truth.

Your Word is truth.

Draw hearts to you today, Lord. And may we always point to you.
