John 2: Greater Than The World

Join me as I read through and reflect on the Gospel of John.

The pattern is clear: His disciples see His glory through His miraculous signs and believe in His Name. And why wouldn’t they? For He has the power to take jars of water used for empty human traditions and transform the contents into the best wine one could ever drink!

In the same way, He looked at the corruption of man and boldly called it out with dramatic acts of violence because He loved His Father more than the fickle approval of people.

The religious leaders had no right to demand a sign from Him. And it’s fitting that the one sign they’d receive would be the one that definitively proved that He had all the authority and they had none. Only He could raise the temple in three days because He loved His Father and put all of His confidence in Him rather than this dying world.

This is a firm foundation, for this Rock cannot be moved. Let us put our trust and hope in Him today.
